LATISM 2011 Latino 2 Series — Silicon Valley, CA – June 11, 2011

A full-day summit on the future of Latino digital influence

This second edition of Latino2, Latinos in Social Media’s ongoing event series on the future of Latino digital influence will be held at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley. The summit will feature keynotes by leaders in technology, as well as workshops, round-tables, and networking breakouts covering:

* The size and scope of the Latino digital market
* Best practices in social-media marketing and engagement
* New platforms and businesses aimed at engaging Latinos

The summit will also host the first annual LATISM TECH AWARDS, a competition for technology startups for and by Latinos. Stay tuned for more information on both the summit and the awards.

9:15 AM — opening remarks

9:30 — opening keynote – Brian Solis, Author and Principal at Altimeter Group

9:45 — panel — Latinos/Latinas in Tech (moderator = Liza Cuevas, Citrix)

10:45 — LATISM technology awards — pitches (six companies — 10 minutes each)

12:00 — Lunch

1:00 — Latinos and mobile panel (moderator = Eva Smith, Principal Engineer – Team Lead at Verizon Wireless)

2:00 — Afternoon keynote: Mark Lopez, Google

2:45 — Digital marketing to Latinos panel (moderator: Loida Rosario, Central Region Multicultural Lead at Edelman)

3:30-3:45 — BREAK

3:45-4:45 — Breakouts/Workshops on Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital
